The silly answer would be so that the blind can use them too

But the sensible answer is that keypads with brail are already mass produced for other applications, so no need to change it

Why do drive-up bank teller machines have "braille" on the keypads?

I would imagine that they have to in order to conform with Federal regulations.

yeah sure and how they know what screen says ? LOL

WHAT FEDERAL REGULATIONS COULD SAY ABOUT THAT ?

Why does the ATM at the grocery store down the street have a British accent?

The first time I used it I didn't know if I was going to get dollars or pounds.

I guess it's nice to know one of the spice girls found work.

Why do light switches have "OFF" written on them? If its on, you can see it, but if its off and its dark, you cant.

Well, it's that or "this end up" so you know which way to install them during daylight hours. :scratchchin:

Why do they call them "apartments" when they are all stuck together?

Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen can look for them while they deliver the mail?

If they were wanted criminials, why didn't they just hold on to them when they took the photo

AND because (as far as I know) Tonto is not a sworn law enforcement officer. Therefore our here is the only ("Lone") Ranger.

Why is it that when you're talking about Pirates of the Caribbean the third syllable of Caribbean is emphasized but if you're going on vacation there the emphasis is on the second syllable?

Chlorine actually "evaporates" out of water after a little time. So by the time it reaches your tap (faucet) it it probably not there

When I filled my pond last year and did not add chlorine neutralizer it killed all my prized Koi.  A sad day to be sure.  But generally, as I understand, chlorine out-gasses if the water is left in an open pond over several days. Chloramine, a similar substance, does not out-gas and will kill stuff and is used in municipal water supplies.  RIP Deli, the pure white and now dead Koi.  Kim
