Just got my 73 Ralley Dash /w wiring harness in the mail.  :2thumbs: Unfortunately it got beat up in the mail, and the bezel is now cracked. Any ideas on either (A) fixing it or (B) is it possible to buy just the bezel? I know there are a few places that make refurb/replacement bezels for other year cars, but I haven't found one that does them for B body ralley dashes.

Also I am planning on installing a tach, but I don't know what gauge that it will replace. Whitegauges says it replaces a clock, but I obviously don't have a clock... so is it a big or small gauge?

Might be tough to repair..you can generally find nice ones on ebay or on the forum, or check out the moparts board.

Also whole inner structure is different for a factory tach, the tach/clock use the same frame but not the one you have with the fuel/oil pressure. I have both so ill compare the two and see if maybe you can modify it, but it might be very difficult if not impossible.

In the dashes with clock/tachs, the small gauges are combined/dual gauges so that the clock or tach can go to the big opening right of the speedo.

The "woodgrain" plastic is hard to repair and not have it be noticeable.

Your dash is also chopped for a non-stock radio in case you didnt know.

If you really want this to look good and want a tach in the dash, you should probably find another starting point.

Silly question, but if I did have a clock instead of the double oil/fuel, then I'm assuming gas would be on a different gauge? (Maybe a picture of "good" one would help.)

Bummer. I was not aware of the gauge differences between the Tach/clock and fuel/oil. Not really knowing a lot about gauges, what are the "swappable portions"?

Double bummer. What would you suggest?

With clock or tach in the big hole right of the speedo, the fuel/oil and alt/temp become two sets of dual gauges in the two small pods.

So to convert/rebuild your current set up, you need a new bezel, the tach, and the two small fuel/oil and alt/temp dual gauges. The only thing that's left in the conversion of your current dash is the speedo. If your plan is to stay the course (putting a tach in the cluster), you are probabaly better off selling what you have for parts and finding another cluster to start from.

Here is an eBay car with the cluster you are looking for:

Sorry I can't find a better picture. Maybe someone else can post one?

Oh wow, okay, sounds like I will be better off finding another cluster to start from. Thanks!

the only interchangeable between clock/tach and regular Rallye cluster its the bezel... housing and gauges ( except speedo ) are totally diff, even the lense changes due the reset button shaft provision
