Driving to work today and there was a group of kids riding their bikes around a yard. I think they were probably about 8 maybe. Anyways I was at a stop sign when the front boy stopped and was rammed into by the other two kids. He pointed at my car with a big grin on his face and the other two looked with their mouths wide open. I chirped the tires and they were staring after me as I drove down the street.

It's times like that that it makes putting up with an old car worth it I think. Thatmaybe there is a future in these kids for the old cars. :icon_smile_cool:

Peeling out impresses kids. Who cares if women think that it is stupid.

Yeah that is good stuff. But there's no hope.   :'(
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I really don't care what anyone else thinks, but I have wondered why the most reaction comes from from kids, bums, and drunks. What does that say   :shruggy:

It says that once the mind has been clouded by today's zealous and vigilant safety dogma, and is therefore programmed into believing that the mediocre, pragmatic and politically correct way of life is the only sensible and rational way to live, the brainwashing that causes hundreds of thousands of cookie-cutter sheeple to believe the Toyota Camry is an attractive car is all but absolute. Ergo these sheeple today apparently need the help of youth or intoxicants to free the mind back to the 1960/1970 era when cars were sexy and had some personality. But today those things are not relevant because everyone now knows that good looking cars are nonviable, quixotic and unsafe and (according to some unwritten rule) have to cost more than $50k. They also know it's useless to worry about "fun" or "sexy" cars because before children leave the driveway they must be encased in Kevlar, bubble wrapped and six-point-strapped into NASCAR-style, 250 mph-approved child safety seats, completely immobile, and placed ever-so carefully into afforable and practical cars with at least four doors and 9+ air bags.

Hey... I LIKE that post by Bull! The man can form a sentence, spell correctly AND make sense. Thats 3 for 3. How many others here can claim the same?
This country HAS become overly concerned with avoiding all risk. Remember when we all WALKED to the bus stop or even ALL THE WAY to school?  Also, kids today are too fat. Why?   Two reasons: Overeating and inactivity. Rides TO and FROM school, the elimination of school sports programs and the fact that parents often work two jobs making them unable to play with the kids.......
