I looked on chargerspecialties site and noticed that they list 71-74 park/turnsignal lenses as "coming soon" @ $79.00 ea.  It's been like that since the summer, so I thought I'd drop them an email to see what's up.  Russ there, told me that they are coming, but he's been swamped and to check back, maybe next fall!  I thought I'd get this poll going to show him the interest, just on this site.
Here's the link to his website: http://chargerspecialties.com
I'm also asking him if he'll do 73-74 tailight lenses too.  If you want them too, post it here.  Tell your friends!!!! :icon_smile_big:

No, I wouldn't buy any, I rat-holed a couple of sets when you could still get them from the paddock for something like $22 a piece  ;D

Guys,
I'm not trying to get you to commit to buying.  Or even sign up on a waiting list.
It's just to show interest

That's what I'm talking about.  We need strong support, to start getting manufacturers to listen to our needs.  :icon_smile_big:

If I needed them of course I'd buy them. Fortunately, after spending most of a fruitless day going from vendor to vendor at Carlisle years ago, one vendor finally asked why he would carry something you could still get from the dealer. I stopped at the dealer on the way home and he was right. I ordered a set for $16 per lens. He screwed up the order and got two of each in. He sold me the second set at cost so he wouldn't have to sit on them or send them back. One set came in cardboard boxes, one came in plastic bags.

73dodge

Damn right I would buy a set, you see what a set of NOS ones go for on Egouge? several hundred last time a set came up.

They are low on the front end and get damaged buy stones and stuff

They can't still be in dealers?
Not for the price they're going for on eBag.

I would bet he is talking about the parking lights in the fenders.

I would buy a set but prbably not for $79 each, maybe if they were more like $50 each.

hemihead

For the prices they want on E-gouge I think $79 is a bargain.

I am not sure 71charger knew you were talking about the front turn signal lens on the front valence. Buy if he was I am heading out to my nearest Dodge dealer monday morning at 0dark thirty to make sure I buy about 90 of them. One for my car, one spare and 88 to sell on Egouge for 300.00 a set.

I'd buy a couple drivers side lenses if they were made available . Already have a couple NOS extras for the pass side. On the down side any repro is bound to be of marginal quality. i was doing some reading about this subject. The tooling cost to make a injection molded clear lense, as original, is astronomical.

Here's my take (assuming we're talking about the lenses that go in the front valance).  Right now a good pair of lenses sells on ebay for around $200.  NOS cost more.  Just wait for the lenses to be repoped.  People will buy the repop over used ones any day if they're looking for a nice pair.  The cost will probably be a little cheaper for the repop ones too.  Then pretty soon the nice lenses that used to sell for $200 on ebay will probably be down to $100 or less.

Here's my reason for this theory.  Some time back we all watched a NOS I piece from a 69 charger grill sell for $1500 on ebay.  They are now repoping these things for a much lower price.  Last week I saw another I piece, although not NOS it was very nice, sell for $200.  Now this isn't much cheaper than the repop versions from YO but I believe the cost will continue to go down with time.

Patience is a virtue in this hobby.  :icon_smile_big:
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

I'm sure it'll be better than cracked, yellowed, not so clear anymore...

"when did you get those?" It was July 16 1996. They were shipped from Newark PDC whatever that is; NJ? DE? I wish now that I had bought more. The wheel opening moldings, when I needed them back in the late 80s were still available and retailed for less than $20 a piece. If I'd known then what I know now I would have bought extras of those too. The packing date on the box sticker is 12/19/95 for part number 03514272. The other box is slightly out of reach and it's too cold to go get the ladder. The Mopar part name is "LENS&PKG".

"I am not sure 71charger knew you were talking about the front turn signal lens" Oh, I'm pretty sure that by now I know where the turn signal lenses are on my car. Since I've owned it I've taken everything off of it except the doors and K-frame. I do know my way around a 71.
