The clock in my car hasn't worked in the 12 years I've owned it.  Yesterday morning as I was driving to the Nats, I noticed the time wasn't set at 26 minutes past 4 where I normally leave it.  As I touched the adjusting screw to reset it, all of a sudden the second hand started going around.  How long it will keep working I have no idea but I'm getting a good laugh out of this un-problem while it lasts.

That funny...mine did about the same thing (the car sat for at least 10 years before I got it)...I tapped the glass or plastic I guess...it went around and stopped at the same spot it was stuck at....tapped again...and the same thing happened....I was thinking about pulling it out and see if I could clean it...

I was surprised when I saw your car today but I never did find you. See ya next year I guess. Do you think the clock will still be working?

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Who knows?  I'll be surprised if it's still working next week let alone next year.

maybe just needs oil on gears, and is not an electrical problem

All mine needed was a little oil.......runs fast though  :shruggy:

clock speed is setted by the same reset knob winding system... they began to be slower on every adjust in reverse... same if you advance the time, will be faster
