yep...    some 400+lb guy who is gonna fix it up one day....    car would need ALOT of work....    hood has major surface rust, would need lower 1/4's, rockers, inner wheel wells, and lower fender patch panels...   the frame (what i can see) is solid though....

Is it a 318 car??  What color interior??

That car is going to sit there untill someday, someone will come along and get it for 500 bucks.

However, you will show up the next day :o  GONE!

which pisses me off...  i offered the guy cash for it...  $1500 and he said no - he's gonna fix it up some day....      im thinking of calling the city (i know a cop) and saying it is a public distraction  (weird law says you cant have a car in public view that cannot physically start and move under its own power or something to that effect) and offering the get $1000 cash for it....              it is a 383 car hense the non R/T...    auto with a chopped center console....     black interior....

That law is a good one.  I have had many people turn me in for that one.  All you do is move the car.  Does he have a carport or a backyard where he could park it??

How many times have you offered him cash??

I would keep going with that.  If you turn him in and they tow it away or something like that and a tow yard gets it, you can kiss that car good bye.

Rolling_Thunder

nope - no car port or back yard to put it in....    :icon_smile_big:     The car is almost up to the frame in mud...   he aint moving that...  and he said it hasnt run in like years so...     if i reported him i think he would be SOL.   and if the car gets towed it will go to a police inpound yard   (again, having a friend who is a cop isnt a bad thing)  where if the dues arent paid after 30 days it is auctioned off...   but if the 30 days expire usually a cop 'can' snatch it up before it goes to auction.

If the tow yard guy doesn't already have 35 guys beating down his door to get the car.  I for one know that I would be there.

I would just continue to go by his house and ask if he is willing to sell it yet.

well cops get  first dibs on cars i believe....   unwritten law i guess...   i'll see what my LAPD friend says
