...now that I have your attention....not that kind of "skirt" that the women wear....it's a question on my '73 Pontiac convert...

basically, which looks better to you...rear fender skirts installed or left off?

well, here is my delema which is why I was asking around:

the skirts have the wheel well chrome on them which completes the chrome running from front to rear...if I leave the skirts off...there is no chrome at the top of the wheel well where skirts are located..

I do like the car with the skirts off....but it looks kinda funny with no chrome around the upper rear

Best of both worlds - run one on one side.  :icon_smile_big:

With that out of the way, I vote on. It looks unfinished without them.

On.

Ordered from the factory that way, right?   On.

But, in the privacy of your own garage what you do with your skirt is your business . . . . . . .

Another idea: on for the even days, off for the odd days.  ;D

What's up with the 59/60 Metro alongside the Pontiac? They had skirts I seem to remember. What it's story?

There's no way that car came with only front trim?  Non skirt cars had to have trim front and rear. Buy a set of rear trim and leave them off.  Simple solution.
The car came with a rare option of skirts, I'd leave them on but to each his own.  My car came without a tic toc tach and I added it.

If it came that way...they stay! You owe it to the now ended brand as an example of what was possible "back in the day". I got to LOVE those big Rag Tops! Nice car, more photos!   :2thumbs:

Both- with the top up--off
with the top down - on
Each way seems to make a different effect for me.
Nice car by the way too.

That's not a bad idea and really gives it a new perspective to look at.

I could be agreed but just if they were automatic like the top... I would get off the car just to put it on or remove it... I Do say ON, since looks great too with top and skirts.
