Rebuild a transmission, Help please

Is there anything on the net that will show Me how to rebuild a transmission on a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9L
I have never rebuilt one before but to save 1200 dollars I'm ready to learn.
The drive is still fine but no reverse.
I found the rebuild kit for around 200.

Have you done any troubleshooting to see why there's no Reverse? Could just need adjustment or parts that can be replaced in situ.

I have my engine and trans out of the car,each sitting on a tire.All bolts have been taken out but I still cant pull the trans fully away from the engine where it goes into the block.Is it in a bind sitting on the tires or what?PLEASE!Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Are you sure you have all the bolts out...four at the top facing forward and two on the bottom facing aft?

Converter bolts? Must gently shake engine and trans as the trans does seemto stick on the dowl pins sometimes...Withboth on tires, I'd think you will need to shake quite alot...
