C5X DAYTONA

I didn't have to purchase my first car which was Charger.   My first car ever was a red 70 Charger R/T with ac and a luggage rack..  The paint was little faded and ran perfect.    It was given to me in 1983 when I was 12.   The guy I sold it too when I was 14 still has it.    Then a month later, (still 12) I purchased a F8 Green 70 Charger R/T with my Christmas money for $80 to get the grill, trunk lid (to get rid of that ugly rack) and tic-toc-tack.  The engine was missing in that car.   I still have parts from both those cars.
Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

Bought mine when I was 40 in 2006.
Paid 16k plus a grand to ship it from Melbourne to Perth.
Was a little beat up and a few parts missing, but totally rust free.
More like a mid life Chrysler than crisis.
Gotta love a '69

Bought mine in 1982 paid $6,500 i was 16years old and still have the car today.

6500. in 1982? Is that cause your in Australia? That it was that much?

Yep a rare car in Australia back then and they had to be Right hand drive. We now  have heaps of lefties over here as you can drive them left hand drive if over 30 years old.

I was 19 when I bought my '69 SE (in 1986), and I still have it. It's the one I am just starting to restore that's pictured in my avatar. Paid $2K for it, which in hindsight was too much, but hey!.... I was a stupid kid. Parted out my '70 Satellite and borrowed the rest to get it. Had a ton of fun in that car until I tore up the motor in it. Like I said..... I was a stupid kid!! :)

1982 When I was 16. A original 383 Charger 500 for $425. Was sitting for a while in a guys yard, he owned a shop and installed a 383 out of a '67 station wagon in it. Ran great and had a lot of fun. one note, it was rustier in 1982 than my current car was when I found it 2002!

I was 35 in '91 when I bought my R/T for $2,000.

I was the first caller on the first morning of the ad and the owner told me he had to unplug his phone in order to get some peace.

2002, I was 17 and picked up my 69 r/t 4 speed. Still have it today, just looks much nicer with a bigger motor. :)

I've not yet been fortunate enough to get one, but I grew up with one in the driveway. My father got one of his two '69 Charger's back around '80-'82 at the latest and I found him the other around '95-'96. He still has both and I see them almost every day. The first one is in the same shape it was in when it was parked about 25 years ago, including football size hole in the drivers side floor board. It is a numbers matching 383 Magnum and Hurst 4-speed. The other I found for him primarily as a parts car to fix the one up with and I had hoped he might sell me what was left, but instead he fixed it up and left the other one to rot. This one is just a regular 383 auto, correct but not matching numbers. Currently it is a Viper blue mildly built 440 auto show car that's won a couple hundred trophies. Here's a pic of it:

I was 18 in 1983 when I purchased my 68. It had brand new body and paint but had a pretty tired 318 in it.
