I was 14. I was hell bent on a 2nd gen charger. My dad talked to a family friend who's son in law had a 66 that had sat idle for many years. I went and looked at it with my dad and decided to pull the trigger with money I had in the bank. I beat him down to the 2k I had in the bank and called my dad and he said Happy Birthday. So practically I paid nothing for my charger. I havent had any money or time to devote to my car but one day I will have it all restored. Thats one of my goals. THe 2k I had in the bank saved for it went to college and alas I will be broke for many years. But one day I will have my charger all pretty and running...

My first was a 1971 SE 383 that I bought in 1978 when I was 15 for $800. It was a low mileage car in great shape until I got it  :brickwall:.

Twenty years old and one day home from Vietnam.  I found a used, red 66, 383 four speed in the local paper.   Drove it for about a year.  Sold it to get married.  Twenty three years later, in a mid life crisis, I went looking for another.  It sort of got out of control.

21  I was home from VN. for about a month before I bought my 500 for $3900 and traded my 66 Olds 442 for $1700.   I Still have the 500 ..

Is that a crease in the quarter panel?

I like that you got slots on it...how long did that take?

No crease, it's just a reflection. The rims were Ansen Sprints. Took over 6 months to get them made. Had Fenton Ram Rods for the front, but couldn't afford new rubber on private's pay :-\

i was 17 years old when i bought a 1973 dodge charger - black with white top and interior with AC and 318 engine - don't remember how much i paid for it back in 1977 - had great times with it - i had to get rid of it when i was 27 years old due to family priorities - i loved the car wish i could of kept it.
