Well if this bothers you guys (ie abbreviating Challenger to Chally), then you wouldn't want to come to Australia you'd have a stroke   

Here's a couple of examples:

Darren = Dazza

Sharon = Shazza

Barry = Bazza

John, Jonothan etc = Johno

Lady, woman, chick etc = Shiela

Man, = Bloke

Australian = Aussie, Ocker

Farmer = Cocky

Its NOT a Chally.
Would you call a Charger a Chargie?
Would you call a Duster a Dusty?
How about Valley instead of Valiant?
Corny instead of Coronet?

And we're the sourpusses 

I will now endeavour to call a Chevy now as Chevrolet just so I don't offend

Sooo, how would one expect to abbreviate "sourpusses"...............................................
sorry, too easy not to bring that up..carry on.

On the related note, We have all new Chargers in my small town as well, though seemed like a waste of money, I will have to admit they do look sweet, and make for a nice conversation piece when the one tourist rolls through every six months.
