I  have a 69 and the vacuum  canister is the size of coffee can as apposed to original size.  the headlight  doors  go up fine but close one side at a time, at least they work right. does the size of the can matter?  the rest of the system works good , i replaced one acuator and they work, just not even.   :icon_smile_cool:

thanks nascar, i think ill just  by pass the can as i only need the eyelids open when the car is on anyway. thanks to your  link i know i can bypass it,  its   a custom job  so oem part isnt needed.  hopefully they'll close evenly then.  thanks for your interest and saving me  $85 :icon_smile_cool:

turns out even with the canister  deleted  the rht side closes second.  maybe a length of vacuum line issue?   any ideas?

passenger side will close slower because there is no weight on it....the drivers side has the weight of the emblems on it causing it to close faster  :Twocents:

Thanks  just6t9chgr,  common sence lives on, I'll give it a go.   Maybe a couple of  coins glued to the back.  Thanks again.
