Just pulled my 383 and the rear header bolt on the passenger side dumped water when I pulled the bolt.  Is this normal?  It was a bolt and not a stud.

there is water ports that the exhaust manifold bolts screw into. sometimes i find i have to use the thread tape when replacing gaskets. :2thumbs:

terrible one

The factory used studs instead of bolts for this very reason. Just make sure to seal the bolt(s) up good when re-installing . . . nothing wrong with them (sometimes they are easier with headers,) but I prefer the studs.
