Third Gen Console Repair

Some time ago I picked up a 3rd gen console.  And for the price I was impressed (at the time) it had NO cracks anywhere.  The one thing I did see is it was a bowing in the spot where it is usually broken or cracked ... next to the shifter.
Well I've tried everything I can think or to straighten it out.
C clamp for a couple weeks, then clamp with hair dryer, then heat gun.  Didn't want to do that too much for fear of melting the plastic all together.  Actually put it in the sun for a couple days during these hot days we've had.  Nope!  Just springs right back.

I'd clean the groove out good with alcohol and put some 2 part 3m plastic repair in the groove, Clamp it together with a ratchet strap. If you don't have access to the glue[about 100.00 initial investment], you could try some window urethane. The plastic repair is the clear stuff, have to buy it and a gun at body supply store. If its a low tension situation you might get away with some industrial super glue or model cement.

Actually I don't think it's a glue situation.  The console is 2 pieces, it goes together at that point.  It is just supposed to be straight, not a bump like that.

relocate the screws on the internal tab of the top section where these threads in. I think thats the initial problem, being located kinda tight... plus the heat on the area. All consoles when not broken get that issue.

now the problem is... that will make mostly sure an elongated hole because there is not enough gap to open a new location

Thanks Nacho, you understand what I am refering to. I actually thought of that but didn't think it would work, however I will take a second look.  Maybe it will.

yeap... is hard that will be THE solution at this moment, mainly because try to relocate the hole to thread the screw will make allmost imposible to thread in the screw... will make an elongated hole on the existant ones. Unless you fill it somehow
