Musicman- That is some kind of work... Unfortunately it is far beyond my skill level.( I am a metal fabricator-welder by trade, not a computer geek, as much as I wish I were...) It looks to me like as far as a self-contained, do-it-all unit, I'm screwed. I am stuck with mp3 no matter what. It would be nice to get a good quality file out of it, but I guess I'll just take what I can get.

2gunz- no real budget per se, just whatever it takes to get the job accomplished. Maybe I'll look in to getting one of the USB encoders like Nacho posted earlier in the thread. I won't be stopping at this one album, so I might as well invest in one now as later.

WANT TO BUY:
Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.
Thank you,    Kenny

BUT THIS USB AND WITH FM TRANSMITER!!!

NOW, wondering about why make it with arm instead a linear track, what in fact is more eficient in every aspect ( tone quality and transport )

So, does the one you really like do the .wav file encoding? I can't tell from the add.

sorry to jump in but I have a quick question...I have a huge tub of old records the people we bought the house off of (they lived there since 72) left in the basement.  Any idea how I can tell if they are worth anything?

List them on eBay. You'll find out exactly what they are worth. Let me know if there are any Dick Dale, Ventures, Bobby Fuller, Duane Eddy, Les Paul or the like. Also seeking an original "Dukes" soundtrack.

Well kab69440 I just went through all those records  about 5 1/2 notebook sheets full. Some interesting but not very many "special" ones that I could tell. Mostly 60-70s.  There were some fats dominos, Johnny cash, dean martins greatest hits, the drifters, little Richards greatest hits, Tom jones, a very cool wolfman jacks 45 of the best 45's 3 album set, ed sullivan, the chuckwagon gang, natcking cole, some Marty Robbins , some old gosspil including several jimmy swaggert and older country. There were a few that i have never heArd of that were made exclusively for the "scotts cooperation" here in marysville. I think I will put them on eBay and see what happens
