I placed the on line order for the KB215 pistons at Mancini Racing last friday night, but by now I still haven't got any notice from them. On the previous 2 weeks also have been trying to contacting them throught the contact email they have and never got the answer about stock and shipping quote. Even this I decided to place the order since they state on website they allways carry Standart and 030 in stock ( guys I decided to keep standart... I won't cut 0.020 for just 0.0025. That bore gives me at least 70K miles more, like engine was never dissasembled and still running strong before actually needs a cut and rebuilt )

Untill now I never have got any answer of my previous request OR an answer of the order status. True I placed the order on friday night, but they work half day saturdays too.

Can I trust its being processed and shipped ?

Nacho,

They are technically in stock, but from KB.....KB just drop ships them.

They should be there by the end of the week, first of next week at the very latest.

Let me know when you get them.

Ive noticed its best to call mancini when you order...but for you that might be an issue with billing  :eek2:

Nacho-RT74

oh ok, so they shipp directly from manufacturer ?

yes, billing can be an issue just because try to explain how its the Venezuelan billing address

Will be great if they can forward to my email the tracking number to update to my forward courier, ALSO KNOW THE SHIPPING QUOTE... I guess no more than $15-18.

I got from them because they say in stock for standart, for a while Summit says would deliver in two weeks or so, If not I was bought from Summit ( just $10 in S&H charges )

WILL BE GREAT TO GET A FEEDBACK FROM THEM GRRRRR.

THANKS FRANK... as usual!

Me too and "C" Rats from the Korean era and even WWll were used whan I was on active duty! :o  MRE's did not come around for a long time after I got out. I have tried some, though and they were OK, at best.

I'll take an old "C" rat box with a small pack of 20+ year old Camels, (this was 1967 in 'Nam) thanks!!! Cigarettes were $1.80 a carton back then in the PX. Ha !  Man, I guess I am an old fella!

I really hope this turns out great for you, Nacho.

Stay away from the mac and cheese, that crap will back you up for a week and I wish I was kidding. My favorite was the stew.

As for extras, the peanut butter and crackers were always fought over. The coffee was total crap and I wouldn't even air drop it to the Taliban. Preferred the juice mix.

Hey Drache,   Even the old "C" ration boxes had varieties and their was a couple of "coveted" ones sent out. They were all put in a smallish box that contained about 3 cans of food and I use the term loosely. No heating elements or drinks of any kind and you used your "John Wayne"  (P-47 opener I think) to open the cans. All boxes had a 5-pack of cigarettes in them as well. Usually Camels, Lucky Strikes or Pall Malls and all were unfiltered that I got.

The few MRE's I tried (honestly don't know which ones as it was a while ago) left me underwhelmed, at best.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, Nacho, just to reminesce about "C" Rations.  Your information  and knowledge about our Chargers and, especially about electrical systems, is of great value on this board.

Rolling_Thunder

Thats OK in the Mac and Cheese...    just have the veggie omelet after       :o          The coffee is completely tar like.  The stews and ravioli were good...       and the jalapanos and cheese spread over the white crackers are the sh!t    :2thumbs:

LOL

There talking about the Meals Ready to Eat that you get in the military.

And i think your english in person might be better than your writing sometimes  :coolgleamA:

Nacho let me know if you want ME to call for you. I can PM you with information if you do. I have ordered many times from Mancini and it is best to ask up front "Is this in stock right now, can you ship it now and give me a total for shipping." They must assemble the order then turn it over to shipping to get a total, a pain in the butt but they are good about doing it.
To further explain MRE is slang for "field rations" that military eat when away from a kitchen, like campers do when hiking in the forest.

Nacho-RT74

Yeap I got it, after a carefull reading about the food and military stuff, LOL

Frank, personally is one thing, over the phone is a diff thing. In person the corporal expressions helps a lot ;). not saying I can't, is just about comfort... specially when talking about money LOL.

If you can call on next hours to know the actual status will be great even better if some tracking available.

thanks b5blue for the offer!!! ;)

I wasn't aware of the Venezuela connection, I guess I should have looked closer... If you need the part & have a question, I would call them anyway (guess it would be costly) just make it brief...LOL... tell them your calling from outside of the U.S. they are very helpful, most all of the time... I've been dealing with & ordering from them for 20+ odd years now, they always seem to make it good...

Nice, but still this is amazing... I'm buying something WITHOUT EVEN KNOW how much I'm paying in total with shipping, nor an invoice or anything. All what I have is an order.

( I'm having problems to check the bank account on line so I'm blind right now on this status )

I think we are not on 70s or 80s to have this service failure.

Nacho-RT74

I'm relaxed about the order itself LOL, just wondering why the lost on the contact INCLUDING SEND AN INVOICE... I bet Summit drives maybe 1000% more orders and still handles everything. I guess shipping was $15-18 rate, but even in that way still have the doubt LOL...

and I guess on the shipping because before get the pistons from MRE I tried directly from KB, and they quoted me around $500 on pistons  :o and around $18 on shipping

I should
$27.41 to get all the way to Venezuela "ain't that bad", how much would Summit Racing charge to ship internationally ? , heck I pay that much in shipping all the time for stuff & I live in the U.S.of A., in California... it's part of the hobby costs to get parts... I'm just saying they don't set the prices, it the shipping company they use...

bud,

thats to his shipping company in florida, than it goes to venezuala.

its not bad but considering summit probabaly would have been free. but i feel safer with smaller companies like mancini who are mopar people because when things go wrong they generally try there best to fix it.

yeah Bud... I use a forward courier in Florida to get lot of stuff together and get one international shipping, so $27.41 is an internal shipping

yeah thats what I meant... with ALL DELAYS I got for everything was the same to get from Summit with same delay and free shipping ( just $10 on handling )

what made me to buy from Mancini is just that they supposelly HAD IN STOCK standard and 030. I went standard so they should ship right away, but no, it took what it took.

same as Crower with the 282HDP cam I bough from them. One and a half week to get it delivered... GOOOOD

Keep in mind they are "Drop shipped" the shipping charge is generated @ the the suppliers site. I'll bet Mancini only made 25-30 bucks off your order.  :scratchchin: I'm glad they are on the way to you Nacho!

I'm just ignorant on international shipping costs I guess, I never had to deal with it much... good you got your parts & be able to build/assemble your engine now....
"fill your library before you fill your garage"   Budnicks

Nacho-RT74

well think on this... Once I bought from DrDiff thrust buttons for my suregrip assembly. I needed them URGENT so, I HAD to get it through Fedex in 2 or 3 days... had to pay for them shipped $100 :o :eyes:

of course regular service is cheaper, but it takes one month plus customs fees... IF ARRIVES ( normally does though )

Summit doesn't use regular postage service.

so thats why I use private courier services door to door, normally by sea.... it cost me arund $20-22 by cubic feet ( $120 minimun so around 5-6 feet )delivered in one month or month an a half once I give the order to ship. Normally I wait 2 months or so untill fill the minimun OR if I know will be buying more and the rest won't cover minimun later... Lets say I have already 8 cubic feet I can ship since minimun is plenty covered, plus the 2-3 extra feet being charged, but if I know will be buying next month something what just gets me maybe 2 cubic feet, I hold everything, because the other 2 cubic feet won't justify to pay the $120 for the minimun charge on a next shippment

if by air, around $5-7 by lb ( $50 minimun, so 8-10 lbs )... if by air volume is more than weight then volume is what is charged and not weight, delivered in 7 or 10 days.

No customs fees on these services since they take care of everything by themself

back to topic, suposelly pistons, cam, ridge reamer, Zinc additive and some more stuff non car related ( Iphone 4, turntable belt, leather gloves, profesional audio connectors, profesional in ear phones, and I can't recall what more ) should leave the courier warehouse yesterday and I should be getting in hands by wed/fry next week ( or I hope so )
