Ebay and swap meets for stock NON chrome valve covers, I think you can get a chrome breather, is
that the slide on style or push in a rubber grommet style?  I will check ''CHRIS??''
Or you can get an original chromed for a price.

i have a set of BB valve covers I just took off my car today ---  go looking in a local junkyard...    thats where i got mine.   I have your chrome breather as well --- they are just push on style...   they dont use a grommet

http://www.tonysparts.com/newproducts.htm repro's the cap.

Each year 440 has a different "correct" valvecover.

Only the drivers side of the 68-69 is the same (easiest to find)

The pass side of 68-70 are all different.

The 70 440 V/C are the hardest & most expensive to find.

Not sure on the 66-67 or the 71 & up covers personally

The '68 passenger cover has a mount to attach the heater hoses to where '69 does not because the hoses mount off the fender well with a bracket. The '70 is entirely different. IIRC the 66-68 valve covers are the same but, the breather was different depending on year. This pic is a '68 cover I had on my 440 for a short time until I found a '69 cover.

Quick!! get that Fram filter off there!!!  ;)

Function wise they are all the same.

Like I stated before, in "correctness" there is a difference

The 68-69 drivers side cover is basically a "bare" cover with just the provision for the breather. (no wire clips/tabs)
In 70 they moved the PCV valve over to the drivers side from the pass side.....

Pic one.....drivers side 69

Pic 2.... pass side 69  (note PCV grommet, 2 wire harness tabs & 2 spark plug wire tabs)

The Fram was on there for about 30 minutes of run time to break in the cam...then the Mopar resto filter went on.  ;)

Frams bite the big one....     at the shop we only use them for break ins...      after that other filters go on....        BTW those are the valve covers i have...    driver side is just a breather, passenger side has 2 wiring clips and 2 guides for spark plug wires along with a PCV provision....
