How cool is this? Brand new 1966 batmobiles with working flame throwers. Just sign on the dotted line and wait 6 months.

Considering that this is a complete custom car from the ground up (practically), the price doesnt seem too bad at $150k.

$10k off if you order now!!

I gotta go buy more lotto tickets   :-\

They're not exactly breakin the bank choosing powertrains are they?    Crate 350 chebbie or a rebuilt 460 ford...  neither which will get this thing moving to get to the scene of the crime in any kind of a hurry  :shruggy:

Until then...  I'll stick with my 1/18 diecast and hope somebody comes out with a good 1/32 slot car  :P

I guy I've known for decades here in NJ from the car show scene has one of these replicas. It's made from a mold from the original Batmobile.
Everything works: flames, lights, sounds, etc. Pretty cool. It's got a Ford 460 in it now, but he plans over the winter to convert it to Mopar with a 440-6 pack.

Here's the car Bill is talking about.  It was on display at my hometown show back in May.  It is nice, but I agree with the above comment, there are other ways I'd spend $150K first.

Batmobile #1 is still owned by George Barris and on display at his shop.  Here is the best website devoted to the 1966 Batmobile.

http://www.1966batmobile.com/

There are many different builders of the Batmobile, and you can buy them in various states of assembly.  You can get a complete body with windshield and light bar for around 10 grand.

Here are a few builders of the kit.  Mark Towle at Gotham Garage will build it how ever you want.  You want a 6.1 in it, he will do it.  The guy is good.
