jack placement

hi guys...tying up loose end on the resto before paint and decided to keep the jack in the trunk...but i never had one so i just got the brackets to mount it (ill find a jack at a later time....and lighten my wallet too but thats another story lol )  any way my question is does the top end of the jack just rest on top the wheel well and the spring tension from the floor just hold it in place or is there another bracket up in there some where it rests in?  any pic would be awesome   thanks guys!

There is another bracket in the wheel well. pic is not that great but it will give you an idea of what it looks like.
