Getting ready to have the welder come over for my floorpans but I have some fittingissues to take care of first. How do I get the pan to close the gap at the front tunnel while it's correct fitted in the corners? At the top of the transcrossmember the distance is to big for welding, should I deform the
floorpan just to be able to weld it or is it OK if it's only welded to the crossmember on the straight rails?

A good welder can fill that gap and it should hold fine, but is this a AMD or Goodmark pan?

It's AMD but I would feel better if there is no gap. Pushing the pan from behind?

Place a jack under the xmember to be sure it dont flex down and then use your body weight to hold it down while you weld. If that is not enough you will need to screw it down and later fill and smooth the welds.

I used vise grips and lots of sheet metal screws to get it all in place.

When i welded the center of the crossmember i started from the sides and after each weld i cooled the surrounding metal so it would kinda shrink it down, that got the floor to sit right on top of the crossmember.

You should get the gap completely closed.  If you can reach to close the gap with vice grips, this works great.  If vice grips won't reach, then drill a small hole for a sheet metal screw to close the gap.  Once you weld the two panels together, remove the screws and weld the screw hole closed.  Another perhaps less effective way would be to have a second person push down the panel with a bar or something to close the gap while the welder does his thing.
