You wouldn't happen to have an original Chrysler torsion bar tool would you?

I'd like to see some real good pictures of one to copy. Most of the aftermarket TB removal tools look like a joke to me but the official tool shown in the FSM looks pretty substantial.

I was able to remove my old torsion bars with some light taps with a hammer on the end of the bar (i know your not supposed to but since there being replaced i ddnt care) but the force needed wasnt very much. I also put them back in again without the tool and with pretty minimal effort.

A friend of mine has an original Chrysler one & it looks like it does in the picture.

I had a friend of mine machined one out of aluminum for me  -  similar to the factory tool but it is a totally square cube. Works great.

Any chance he would take photos/measurements? Or better yet, sell it to me?

That one doesn't look a whole lot better to me than the one you linked from Ebay, especially compared to the original.

I've seen those. They fall under the aftermarket TB removal tools that "look like a joke" to me. Take a look at it. How do you pound on it without hitting your torsion bar?

I used this one with success, had to wack the handle and kept the hammer away from my torsion bars. Though the one hemidog posted does look better.

If you have good eyesight and a big hammer, there should be no problem hitting the remover I have...

I thought you were assembling you car bull? Need to remove the bars again?

My bars are in. I'm just thinking about making one for the hell of it. Maybe use it as a loaner tool for the guys on this site.

the way I remove them is tto loosen the lower control arm pivot bolt & the caster strut & pry back on the lower control arm , way easier & no tool required !!
