   Just how sharp or rounded should the body lines be on a 69 Charger?  I am in the process of refining the body lines on mine, but don't want them to be too crisp, or too dull.

Do you mean some sort of measurement? If so I doubt there is one; sharp or dull is subjective. This thread may help:

Excellent pics there. I think you have to use pictures as a guide. To me I see the lines as sharp. No points or edges, but sharp none-the-less.

I spent 2 years taping each half, high build primer, straightening, block off the facet, no roll... all the lines, I know all 17'-2". You can tell a straight car. The 70's are a bit "rounder" buts I likes 'em crispy...

Try to keep them crisp 'til the very end of bodywork, then just evenly and lightly sand the lines. The way light hits should make the dulled lines look straighter.

Old timer above has some good ref thread there, :yesnod: to include that bronze car.  Also, the last minute softening of as crisp as possible seems like good direction.  Many, maybe most loose that crisp lines with the layers of paint and body work.   The bronze car photo shows similar traits to one of my cars with factory original paint (B5) as very crisp in the sun, but when you get up on it they are still soft somewhat, maybe with the paint helping some of that visual details.  Could also note how the front fender it dies off completely by the time you are at the grill.   :Twocents:

I've seen many restored Charger's that you couldn't hardly see the line's but one with crispy lines stands out above the crowd.
The line is very important

Thanks for the input fellas!  I was somewhat concerned that I was try ing to get the lines too sharp and potentially have issues with paint or chipping.   :cheers:

The 70 models may appear "rounder"  because its possible that the tooling for stamping body panels was getting worn out. I have also noticed that the 73 and 74 Cuda quarter panels have softer bodylines than the 70/71 models.

I agree with all the others here, I like them where they are sharp. I spent a lot of time priming/blocking (using masking tape on lines) to get them sharp and straight.

Another note, don't run the main center body line all the way to the end of the front of the fender, it should fade away 6-7" from the front edge.
