Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

Rolling_Thunder

dig that milage,..
my 300 M lights up in that same Electroluminestent blue too...

Ghoste

Hence my sig. ;)
Which occured to me as I was getting my dash lighting to work one painstaking instrument at a time.

Charger_Fan

That is pretty cool. :yesnod: That would rival a lot of the new car instruments today. :icon_smile_big:

Didn't I read somewhere that they had problems with that lighting system in the first year?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Mighty Mean Mexican Mopar

nh_mopar_fan

That's great. That is one of my favorite things about my 67.

Ghoste

The problems with it were more an issue of serviceability.  The fsm repair procedure for almost all problems with it, is replacement.  Makes troubleshooting the thing a little more interesting 40 years later without that option to fall back on.   They work remarkably well though in light of the technology used (pun intended).

I see that Honda has a similar dash lite in the newer models that the dealership I work at.. sells!!   Sad but true. :rotz:

By the way I have a new desktop!!  :D
DODGE CHARGER--Fuel for Living!

Desktop background? If I want to see that all I have to do is walk out to the garage.

;D

Glad you guys like the picture anyhow. I took that one from the inside of my red '66 440 Charger back on October 12, 2004. The car is also the one on wikipedia as seen from the back with the '67 nascar spoiler. It has 1,701 miles on it as of today (with the new 440).

The image makes the electroluminescent lettering and numbers look kind of blurry, but in reality they are very sharp. Just hard to get a good crisp picture with that little light and a hand held digital camera.

Here's a shot of bench testing my '67 Charger's gauges.

Thanks Bull, we hardly ever get to see pictures of those funny shaped Chargers.  What year is that anyway? ;)

MyMopar

Holy crap that is sweet, reminds me a bit of my 300M also, but not nearly as cool!

'07 I hope.

Ghoste

:pity:  Sorry my friend but there will be no Charger for 07.  There will be a nice family car called Charger and it will look exactly the same as the 06 version of that car.  There may possibly be two new exciting colors for the dealers to talk about or a gps upgrade.
Another good fastback desktop would be shot from pavement level of the taillights at night.

Put together a couple of these... from back in July 2004 of my '67 Charger.

The second pic but at night is what you need Jon.
