Most people on here dislike the new charger, except Bull. He LOVES the new Charger, i think he owns a 2010 Charger.  :2thumbs:

The new charger looks like they tried making a compact sports car out of it. I'm not dissing on its proformance, just style

Might have too many doors too huh?
Gotta love a '69

I give them credit for the 2011 as our new patrol car is a new charger and the body lines are starting to drift more towards the second gen look.  The only downfall is that it still has two extra doors.  Im really liking the tail panel on it though.

Yes i agree that the it is "slowly" drifting towards the original but only in some areas. The 2 extra doors is a huge thing for me too grasp in my mind. :eek2:

Yep...we all know bull is as sensitive as a pack of Trojans when it comes to his love for the new Chargers. We don't want him to go off the deep end again trying to defend their awesome qualities.  :nana:

Do I find it ugly? No. I think it is a fairly nice family car and has some respectable performance, but it should have been called a Diplomat or a Chrysler 300, or a Plymouth Fury, Not a Charger.

I don't "dislike" the new Charger, I just think it's not worthy of the name. With any other name it's an awesome car and far from ugly. (of course I like the '62 Dart so..........)
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

R6red4spd69RT

Dodge should have had more respect for the name and what the original Chargers gave them.

My buddy was away on business last week. His rental car was a new Charger... Pretty aggressive looking cars from the front...

elanmars

as ugly as that front end is, if I won one in a prize I'd drive it. it's really not too bad this time around but not at the new Challenger level of awesome at all.

Seems we never get tired of going round and round on this subject...
Seriously, my GF and I checked into and test drove the '11 Sedans and i was leaning towards the more tasteful 300Cs but at a price point of $42K for either the Charger RT-R/T (That's the R/T package on the RT model 'n yeah it's stoopid)  :shruggy: or the 300Cs I want - and when we added up the yearly taxes and insurance it makes it a deal breaker. All our cars are paid off and I really don't need another car. Besides they still aren't even up to speed on Color Avail. because of the Japan quake and the new transmissions are still due next Yr.
Aesthetically the Charger looks a little too much like an angry Raider Fan - I prefer the cleaner 300C but looks wise alone I'd like a dark blue Challenger R/T without a bunch of crap on it. Gas mialage here is San Francisco is still near to $4.00 a Gallon and it's only going up - so - all thing considered?..  I'm gonna have to hold.
I sure don't like the SRT8 grill, maybe in black it would blend in enough to be cool..  :shruggy:

Iceyone

I'm not gonna buy one until the put a big-ass Daytona Wing on it. And I aint talking about that little spoiler they put on a couple years ago.

Ugly as homemade shoes. It is way too chunky and stubby. Its front clip proportions are more like a pickup truck than a car (the Dodge Ram style grill doesn't help matters), and there isn't enough overhang in the trunk area. The C-pillar is pathetic / looks wimpy (which "complements" the wimpy sidewalls of the tires I suppose). Plus it has 4 doors which makes it a St. Regis as far as I'm concerned (it doesn't look good enough to be a Coronet, Monaco, or even a Diplomat).
