I'm getting ready to put my new quarters on my 68 and rear valance and the corner caps, here's the question, do you leave the seams open or put seam sealer in the seams.  How did they come from factory?

Quarter side sealed, valance side open........ But, the portion where the end cap is under the bumper needs to be sealed. Basically, anywhere there's access to the trunk area..

I was thinking that was the case, I was looking at one of the old ones and it had that old sealer they put in the seams when it was welded together on the side towards the quarter.  Now all I need is a quarter window roller that i'll be picking up in Carlisle this weekend and I can start installing the quarters next week !
