Not sure if this is the right place for this but Im getting ready to put the back glass in my 69 Charger and a friend of mine he also has a 69 charger said to find out what size tape to use (how wide)that the glass will sit on and to find out what size rubber shim I need to put in. Thanks for any help.

Buy the 3M 5/16 round butyl tape (can't remember the part #). It comes with the rubber blocks.
I started by sitting the rubber blocks in place, then the glass (without the butyl tape). Center the glass into the opening, then placed a couple of strips of masking tape at top, bottom and sides for a guide. Took glass back out, installed butyl on pinch weld, set glass back in placed and pressed down firmly along perimeter of glass. Installed trim. Simple job, took me (with wife's help) about 30-45 minutes. Also another tip, get a couple of those suction cup handles, to aid in sitting the glass in.

Good luck,
Jason

Its 3M part number 08611. Here it is on a website, but any parts house should be able to order it for you if they don't have it in stock.
