headlight/wiper knobs

Hi my friend thought it would be easy to remove the knobs and linkage on my dash, he just had 2 major heart attacks in one day and not sure if hes going to make it. I don't know how to put it back.

If you pulled the knobs off, they just slide through the hole and then put the nuts back on, The only hard part is putting the connectors on, I got my dash almost back in place and then reconnected, it was a tight fit between the dash frame and the dash.
