Opinions on TV series "General Lee" script vs movie car script ?

Well, Unfortunately I have to order new "General Lee" decals for my Charger and debating which style to go with. My car originally had the chunkier movie script but I'm on the fence between which to order.

As much as I like the earlier script my car looks like a later W.B. wide bar car, no side markers etc... So the earlier style might not look right.....

Any opinions other than take all of the decals off ?

tan top

take them off   just kidding

if it were mine would use the original TV series  set up

( thats how i would build a GL if i ever  felt the need )  a clone of Lee 1 or 2  or 3  :scratchchin:  as they are the original ones !!  type of thing IMO

, first few episodes of the dukes was good , when they were made in Georgia!!  then they started getting more childish ,  not wanting to start a slagging match between dukes fans , i use to watch all when i was a kid  &  when i got a little older , i would record all the  re runs , ! &  try to spot the different generals by freeze framing any interior / trunk / under hood shots  & marker , wheel well mouldings & 01 positions, also  looking to see if there was actually a un converted  68 used  in  the one jump seen , still wearing its 68 tail lights , never had a video when i first thought i saw it  ,  :shruggy: ok i'm getting a bit side tracked  now ! sorry  :slap:

, but i know from what i have read over on the GL web sites !!  your mob likes to match up the decals to how the car was built & who done it at what location what series & year & if a  film & what one !!   :-\

My car is more like the later Cali cars but mine has factory Saddle interior like the early cars. Mine also has the side markers removed and going to have the wide push bar. I went with the later Cali style decals but used the Georgia early Cali style General Lee text to me it looks the best of all I dont like the later text it looks to plain and I really dont like the movie text that well. Heres a pic of mine

Hmmm, that's even chunkier then mine... Mine is somewhere in between yours and the original TV series script which I believe is the "movie" version. I have a saddle tan interior, side markers removed and wide push bar, same as you.

I should just order both and see which fits in better... Although I'm leaning towards early TV series

First 5 episodes in Georgia..Before it got all "comercialized"....Agreed, those were the real GL's.

First 3 were the real cars...

I'm not a fan of welding on a push bar though...

Dunno why, coumple of years ago I thought the roof scrips where made on this "General Lee" font:

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html
