superbird hood latch

I have a question for all you wingnuts.
I am cloning a superbird and am looking for a hood latch. I am told that it is the same as a Chrysler New Yorker hood latch. So my question is.. is that true and what year new yorker are we talking about. PLease help. Im almost done with this project.
