I have a question on the six pack set up.On my center carb there are two vacuum ports on the choke side. One goes to the choke pull off the other is hooked up to the vacuum lines to linkage on the other carbs.Does it matter which one goes to which? Also at idle I do not have any vacuum to either port.Is this normal?Just put this on the car and don't know if it is working right.I have 20 inches of vacuum at the manifold. One other question.I am running a wedge 426 in my car.It seems to have a quite a bit of lifter noise at idle.I looked in the book and it says that the intake is .028 and the exhaust is .032.This seems like a lot of clearance to me.Openions please.  :-\

It goes on a tube on the carb. base, under the float bowl.  :2thumbs:

:shruggy: So what size of jets should I have for a big block mopar...I am trying to run this six pack on a 426 wedge.I have a hesitation coming off idle or any time you go to a slower speed...say 30 mph or so holding it steady.I changed the acc. pump to a 50 cc but no good.If you go past that spot it is fine but starves at the spot just off idle.I even get a back fire to the carb if I try to come just off idle.It will even kill the engine. If I throttle past this point it comes on as it should.Just about to go back to my 4 bbl with it.But really wanted to run this six pack.  :shruggy:

There is no short answer and I'm slow at typing. THE MOPAR SIX-PACK ENGINE HANDBOOK by LARRY SHEPARD is a good starting point. Order a copy and read it. I'll try and dig up some links but if you do a search online it would be faster than me. Search A12 as that is the option # . Try things like six pack tuning, idle, metering block (or plate), jetting ect. and look for links. Print what you find.... :yesnod:

This will get you started, follow the links in this thread. Read the large block of setup tips near the bottom. The only thing I found different is Larry Shepard's book recommends one full turn out on outboard carb's idle set screws. (The one's in the base of the outboard carb's.)   :2thumbs:
