Will a 69 grille fit a 1970 charger??

Ive wanted a 69 charger for quite a while but found a great deal on a 1970. I would want to convert it to a 69 grille configuration if possible. Can anyone tell me whether the 69 would fit the 70? I am wondering if the fenders are different or if it is just the grille and headlight assembly. Also, any other exterior differences between the 69 and 70? Thanks.

Fenders, hood, valence, parking lights, hood latch, headlight door operation system, bumper, basically the whole front clip.

i dont own either, and im no expert but i believe you will have to change the front fenders to install  1969 grill.

1968-69 swaps are feasible if you don't mind a bunch of nitpicky interior differences that a real Mopar nut would pick up on.  It's never the ideal way to do things, but these days it gets more & more feasible as the project cars are needing more & more replacement parts just to be whole again.

1970 swaps to the other years require the whole front clip.  The steering column & dash and the front buckets are different too.

I have seen some 1970-to-69 swaps that have been done.  But the parts costs might exceed the difference to get you a real 69.  It depends on the car and the person doing it.

Considering that you can now buy all the front sheetmetal new the grille, headlight setup, and grille frame are the main exterior obstacles.

Buy the 70 and flip it for $2k more than you paid, then resume the search for a 69.

I was replying to the other member about he had said (notice the quote).

Now about your question, maybe look at AMD for the metal stuff, the prices might be pricey, I don't know.

On that topic, would a normal 69 grill fit INSIDE the 70 bumper?

There's nothing that can't be done. The only question is: "What are willing to do to make it happen?"

Looks like a '68 Coronet grille, actually.  I know they're interchangeable, but the Coronets had the "DODGE" letters and the Chargers didn't.
