Very nice rare car but I don't agree with these prices
" Well, in it's current condition it's worth between $35k and $50k to the right buyer but it could go as high as $85k on a good day. A numbers matching unrestored Charger R/T 440 4 spd with the tick-tock-tach and pistol grip shifter in Plum Crazy is a rare find."

I'm thinking 25k to 35k, no way 85k unless it was restored and that would probably cost over 30k to do.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I'm in your camp on this one but I think it would fetch more into the low 30s in its current condition - everything works just needs some basic service and cleaning.

Wish I could get over the grille on the 70s because this is a cool car.  :2thumbs:

Oh, you know you 68/69 fellas are jealous about all of the chrome us 70 guys get to have up front.  :)  Seriously though, is it just me, or is it odd that an RT/SE doesn't have wheel well trim?

I'm sure that a phillips screwdriver and ten minutes time took care of that years ago. The car is a nice find, but would be MUCH nicer with no vinyl top.  :yesnod:

Hey everyone ! This is my car.  I've had someone tell me already the car is worth $10,000, And another tell me to just part the car out...  :shruggy: This car still has the original rad hose clamps/ rad hoses ETC on the engine, And everything. The original runs in the bay are still there from the factory. I had someone tell me the car had been repainted, But I know for a fact it has not been painted. The car sat from 79', Until now. They said the paint was too smooth, Although I tried explaining that I ran the buffer on the car when I was wetsanding/buffing another car that I had just finished painting.

I'm honestly not sure exactly what the car is worth, Being everyone has a different opinion. I would really like to get the car back to road worthy condition (Would not take much), But i've been extremly busy with customers cars at my garage, That I have absolutly no time right now to touch the car  :rotz: During it's 32 years of sitting, It was in a garage the entire time, Until this day!!! I would sell the car, But I don't need to.

Anyways, I just wanted to quick sign up and post that the car was mine, Being I had been recommended to the site from a member above in this thread. I do plan to stick around however, And browse/post regularly as of now   :yesnod:

Sublime/Sixpack

The car seems to have a lot of potential! I do wish that the photos you posted were better though. Personally I'd like to have a close up look at it, maybe even make a purchase.
By the way, I like the grille, front bumper and vinyl roof.
One suggestion, check out the 1970 Charger Registry site on the Web.

Cheers Bob.

Dude... NICE car, and btw, don't sell it.

BIGBLCK11

Welcome!  Very nice lookin 70!  :2thumbs:  Yeah, I would't sell it either.  Especially for 10k or parts, YIKES!  The only people telling you that, want to buy it or don't know much about muscle cars and Mopars.  It appears to be a survivor car and has great options.  The market is down, but you should be able to get 25-30k and possibly higher to the right person.  If it is solid enough to leave original, it will be better.  It certainly looks very clean, from the pics so far.  I can't wait to see more pics outside.

If you restore it, be sure to loose the vinyl roof. Chargers look so much better without a vinyl.  :yesnod:

I would have to disagree, rare car = should keep it as it was. If I had an R/T or something worth anything, I woudl have left it the way it was.

Hey Figs,

Where are you located?  (PM if you'd like).  Is the car still in PA as by your old inspection sticker?  Nice car, hopefully I'll get to see it around once you get it on the road.  Later.

James, I'm in Hazleton PA, 18201.  I think you are under an hour away ! (PS, I added you on f.b.) :D

Nice car, I got a original unrestored 70 R/T also, sat in garage since 1982. I love the FC7 plum crazy purple though. The build to export specs is kinda rare & unusual in my opinion. I'd clean up & drive/keep as is :2thumbs: LEON.

Dan,

I'm really sorry for the late reply. I will actually be leaving to head down shortly. I will not have the car with me unfortunatly. I did however order a new gas tank/straps/sending unit from yearone a few days ago. I've never been to the carlisle chrysler show, So I'm sure it's going to be a great experience.
