Im still looking for a 68-70 Charger in Virginia. I think I would rather just buy a rolling chasis and build it myself. Ive spent a lot of time looking at prices and they are all over the place. So here is my personal price guide. Please let me know if you think its reasonable. My price guide is with a clear title, I will NOT buy any car without a clear title.

     NON Running-Basic rolling Shell
   1. rolling with good frame rails, winshield post, inner rear window panels. Needs everything including roof. $1250
   2. Same as above but has a good roof. $1750
   3. Same as above with one good rear quarter panel. $2250
   4. Same as above with both good rear quarter panels. $2750
   5. Same as above with good taillight panel. $3000
   6. Same as above with good trunk floor. $3250
   7. Same as above with good back floor. $3500
   8. Same as above with good front floor. $3750

I would just add $375 for each complete door with glass if it only had scratche's and minor dents or dings. I would add $250 for each fender, hood, bumper with brackets, and trunk lid in same shape.

HOTROD

<< I got mine for 3000. less motor and trans some of the green Int. was there but got a hole 70 blue Int.(ruff) -needed front floors, trunk, and you find more as you get in to it ! :shruggy: :Twocents:
I have seen cars worse go for more !!! :scratchchin:

I don't know. $3750 for a rot free body seems kind of low.

I would also value solid trunk pans and quarters higher than solid floors.

Thats true, When I bought my 69 in 2006 prices were way up compared to lately. My rolling project car is a R/T without the engine and trans. Rotten interior and wasted trunk pan. The rest is very nice, and got a second perfect grille with the car and not a single piece of trim was missing. By the time i paid import tax fees and the shipping to Belguim the counter was at $10.000.......

However thats not the dicussion here.......

I've seen projects like these mostly change owner with prices north of 4 grand. think HOTROD got lucky on his deal. You can maybe find a cheaper car further away but the travelling to go and check it out takes time and hauling it home consumes money also....
I think you are in the ballpark, but who knows one day your luck turns and you can find something nice for not too much....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
