A/C Heater controls

Got a question on the AC/Heater controls.  Putting unit back together and noticed one vacuum hose not connected to anything.  Does this need to run off intake manifold to work A/C doors etc.

One hose goes through the firewall and connects to manifold vacuum. If mine is correct it's the bottom middle one off the switch with the green stripe
