Does anybody know if a steel crank was ever installed in a 440 in a mid 70s big car around 75 or 76 with a automatic. Thanks for any info

As a general "Rule of thumb", No....BUT! I have seen STEEL cranks in late seventies Chryslers that have been rebalanced in order to run a cast crank balancer and flexplate...Tore down a 1977 440 and just knew I was gonna see a cast crank...Nope, steel crank...This was some sort of warranty engine or something I suspect..
