Here are a few pics from this morning. It was shot a few weeks ago and the painter noticed some tiger stripes on the hood and trunk and reshot it saturday with Dupont this time. The first paint, i don't remember the brand, was a little heavy on metallic and he wasn't happy with it. Should be buffed out later this week, although it doesn't look like it needs it.

I love the color. It is nice to see colors other than black and red once in while. Nothing wrong with black, red etc. I just like to see something different.

Very nice.. Every time I see a '73/'74, I remember my first Charger, a bronze '73 SE 318 car......

Slowly coming together. Too damn hot in the garage for me to spend more than 2 hours at a time. Detailed the radiator support and front panels so I could set the a/c condensor. Waiting on the powder coated top brackets and dryer brackets to finish the a/c. Put all of the powder coated bumper and grill brackets together and mounted the front bumper. Doing that by yourself is a pain and I don't recommend it to anyone. Installed the side marker lights, door handles and locks, mirrors and the nos wheel opening trim that I lucked into a few weeks ago. Next in line is getting the vinyl top and headliner installed. I buffed all of the stainless and anodized aluminum(another pain) trim and will install after the top gets done. The interior and under the hood is filthy from the paint shop and I'm leaving that to absolutely last.

Wasn't that a factory option? I believe it was called Aztec or something like that...  Beautiful car , by the way.

Yes it was. When I first started posting about it last October, I called it an Aztec and nobody knew what I was talking about. JL6 Aztec gold with N1YW Aztec trim. Wasn't a desirable combination back then and only a few 440 Rallyes built, less than 5 I've been told. About 20 360 Rallyes and 100 or so SE's. Most of the SE's had white bodies.

The car is rare enough being a 440 74 car, add the Aztec interior and its nearly unique. Looks great.

Looks great!  Very unique and certainly a head turner!

What is the name of that vinyl top style again?  Thats the style that my '73 came with and will be getting again...if we ever get that far.  Haven't touched it in quite a while.

It is called a canopy style top with Boar grain. There were also 2 versions, with or without the 2 seams.

They are the originals and lucky for me, are mint. Covers are not available for the bench that I have found. Legendary has covers for buckets only and has the white buttons in the seams. My bench has no buttons. This pic was taken when I bought car last year.
