My Dad taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!" :P

That kinda sucks.  :-\

I know they still tour and all but I've never seen them.     Mississippi Queen is usually on the classic station several times a week.

I never really cared for them that much but, nobody deserves to have their leg amputated just because he was a diebetic and chose to fly to a gig! Yep, kinda sad! :'(

That sucks. West is a helluva player. His tone had weight.

Bummer about his leg, but he hasn't been in the best of health for a really long time. I remember almost calling in sick to avoid work & go to a free, morning or lunchtime concert he did in NYC in the early 80's. I ended up going to work because I figured by the time I get there it would be over anyway. I did get to see him around 1990 when he played at a small local club in New Windsor, NY which is gone now. He did an awesome show that included a Hendrix set.

Hope he recovers okay.

First time I ever heard of Leslie West & Mountain was when I seen Vanishing Point at the drive-in Theatre & they were playing Mississippi Queen while some hot chick drove around topless on a Motorcycle. This was around 1974 & I was only 10 years old. Luckily my Dad was a car guy. LEON.

That is sad Mississippi Queen is a great cruising tune.I am interested in hearing his new album with the artests that are on it. Hopefully he heals OK.

One of my favorite albums with Leslie is "Why Dontcha" with Jack Bruce & Corky Laing. It was my wife's album, but it's mine now.

:-\ In the late '60s Mississippi Queen was on the underground FM station all the time, but they never played any other songs. Leslie West knew what he was doing, that was quite apparent.  :yesnod:
