I have some brand new rotors that were stored outside for some time before I got them. They look fantastic but have very light surface rust.  Do they need turned or does someone have a home remedy for cleaning them up?

there are a few ways to deal with this , if the rust is light you can use steel wool , emery cloth or fine sandpaper to remove the rust Or just install them & the pads will quickly remove the rust

You could also crumple up a small piece of aluminum foil, and rub it. You will be amazed at how well a ball of aluminum foil will literally erase a little bit of rust.
