damn white smoke in the dash

well I was starting the car for the first time going great till i heard a pop from the cab of the car then white smoke started to pour out of the dash oh great  . anyways after all the smoke cleared looked under the dash noticed the upgraded limiter switch was burned up and the wires were cooked. question is what went wrong got about 6 other wires cooked too, I know all the wires were great checked them all myself no cracking and nothing broken connections, i put them all back were I got them, only did four upgrades relays in for the headlights, leds for the dash lights, limiter switch got from RT-Eng.com, and put that upgrade in there on the alt side connector from one of Nacho's threads.

another question got about 6 wires surrounding the melted wire would it be better to just leave it as if or just cut and replace each wire?

Dont feel bad dude. That happened to me once while I was flying down the freeway doing 70 MPH. Not good. Almost lost it. was not a good day for me and the liz. We got thru it ok though.

Any pictures will help better determine the cause.The wire with no plastic or dripping plastic.Is the one you want to investigate as the cause got the hottest.

got no pics of yet re wiring half way done, got the old limiter still, got mostly the black aka grounds and the limiter.  camera is hiding from us
