Lost! Need help on firewall wiring!

I bought a 68 Charger in pieces. The car was basically a shell and I'm going thru the boxes trying to put her back together. I don't have everything needed and some of the parts I am finding don't even belong to this car.

I bought a 440 engine out of a 77 NYer and put it in the car. The 77 I'm assuming has the cap & rotor, so is that considered elec. ignition? I bought all new wiring harnesses for the engine. Now I need to buy all new components that mount on the firewall. The wiring harness I have has 4 prongs for the ballast, 2 on each side of the ballast. When I look up pics of engines for 68 I see only 2 prong ballasts.
I have a silver box that has a funny 2 plug on it. I don't know what the box is for, but I do have the plug on the harness. What is this? And what does it do?
I have a starter relay, that much I figured out. But is there another box that is on the firewall? I have a triangular plug on the harness, but don't know what that goes to.
I don't know what exactly I need to complete the wiring.
Please help!
Thanks,
Sid

here are pics of what I think I need. I found them on a 73 charger. Is this right? And can you please tell me what these parts are? And what are they used for?

first picture is the electronic ignition ECU
second picture in the 70 & later electronic voltage regulator , used with a duel field alternator

is the harness already  made up  , ie with connections already fitted ??  that if so that will ultimately dictate where they are going to be fitted ! unless your going to Lenten the wires !

the 70 & up voltage regulator will mount on the fire wall same place as the 68 voltage regulator

Where can I get the ECU for a decent price? I only see it on Year One. Are there different ones, or are they just stock? Do I get the one for the 68 Charger or  to match the engine which is out of a 77 NYer?
Are you sure that silver box is a voltage regulator? Because i looked it up on eBay and the results look nothing like what I have pictured.

Mancini Racing has both parts, I just bought two ignition modules for $56.00 each, I think. There are two types, chrome box and orange box-the orange box is less expensive and you don't need the chrome below 6000 rpm.

yeah the one you have now pictured  (black one) is for 69 & earlier cars with single field alternator,  the first one ! silver one you posted is for later  duel field alternator set up !
what you really need to do is find out what alternator , ignition set up your going to run or want to run   & what harness you have bought for the car !! as we could get confused in what pictures your posting & what harness you have or wanting to run  :yesnod:
if you unsure  , take lots of pictures & post them up we can see whats going on !!   :popcrn:

I have a wiring harness for a 68 Charger. The alt I have is a dual field. There are 2 wires going to the alt, one blue & one green. The wires go to the firewall and merge into a plug, triangular shaped 3 prong that I now see goes to the voltage regulator that elacruze showed in the link. Thank you! And I will need the orange box also. I think I have everything figured out now. Thanks for the help!
