I know the regular gaskest don't need nothing to installl just fit, put the heads on and tight... but metalic ones ?

I have seen or known about some mechanicals here using "goma laca" to better fit and seal on some areas of metallic gaskets like the manifolds ones around cut outs. sometimes also on regulars and "paper" ones like the water pump housings etc...... that is translated textually LAQUER GLUE or something like that. Is somekind of "glue" or resine similar to what threes bleed when you cut them. sorry is the better I can explain right now.

Is this necessary or at least recomended ?

When I installed the steel shim gaskets in my 440 I used the Mopar spray can sealer. I can get you the part# on the can but, the dealer had it in stock for use in newer cars.
