What manual?

Hey everybody I am looking to put all this stuff together after paint but since I didn't take it off I dont know how it goes back except for the obvious. Also included but no photo is all the stainless trim and their associated hardware. Which dodge manual shows how to do this work. All I have to work with is a chilton manual, Dodge 1968 to 1977, and it's not real specific on these parts. Thanks for any help.

I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but I'm all out of bubble gum.

The Dodge Charger Field Service Manual, I think you can get them from Y1.  would be a good start but it may not show you enough detail on everything.  I've seen a lot of guys just post a picture of the part on this forum and ask for others to post pictures of where and how it goes.  May be slow but it seems to work.  Lots of folks here ready to help and have old pics around of their work.

Take the obvious stuff out and take pics of the rest..we can help  :yesnod:

I also agree, I can see plenty of stuff I know where it goes but some I can't see because of the picture. Take close ups of some of what you don't know and I'm sure someone here will know.

Yeah really doesn't look too bad, I see lots of familiars there as well. The litter fasteners are the toughest. You need the factory service manual like others have said. It is now reproduced and available all over the place in both book and CD format.  :2thumbs:

I use imageshack.us to upload my pictures, then you can make them as big as you want. Take the original large photo and upload it there, then it will give you a link and forum code you can paste into your post.

Parts book illustrations might provide more detail than a service manual.

It looks like it may be a firewall insulation pin (some folks call them nails) to me. If so, the tip is broken off.

Here's a pic of the broken one and the one next to it. The round white plastic pieces fit the chrome bolt shown on second pic, I think it has something to do with the buddy seat? Thanks Tan Top

yeah good point  , the white plastic spacers/ washers could be for a buddy seat , look about the right size i think  between hinge & armrest or seat back  :scratchchin: & those  chrome headed bolts  :scratchchin: hmm that prolly why i don't reconise them  , as mine never had  the buddy seat opiton

Thanks TT, that'll help me out down the road. Once I get it painted. Right now I am back underneath pulling out the power steering gear again. Had it rebuilt, installed it, fired it up and turned the steering wheel back and forth to get rid of air. Big puddle underneath. So when I pulled the pitman arm off there was a snap ring retainer that dropped out. At least the mechanic will rebuild it again as he guaranteed his work.

That thing has a hole going down thru the center of it. Thanks for the reply. I'm still wondering what kind of book would show these things and where they go. Maybe some kind of generic how to do manual on trim or interior parts?
