Welded on exhaust tips?

You've got to be joking....

This can't be normal.....  :rotz:

Exhaust pipes are one size, exhaust tips were meant for larger so they were placed on and just welded in place.

I thought exhaust pipe ranged in size from 1" to 3" so I don't see how one size could fit all...
