Looking good!  I'm so ready to hear how that EFI does, it really looks like a good setup.   :2thumbs:

Cool fuel tank vent! And I'd love to see some more pictures of your grill filler removed. Back side pictures
Thanks

Yeah let's get that panel marketed.   :icon_smile_big:

I can't wait to hear your take on the EFI.   :yesnod:

But that's the ugly side   I will post some up later on. I'm actually going to redo it, just not totally happy with the bends on the drivers side.

I had this one on my phone before it was installed.

I hope so because I'm way too lazy to make one myself and I want one!

All right, EFI is all installed and it is running great. Car starts right up, idles perfect, has a great throttle response, and doesn't have that raw fuel smell (which I kinda miss to an extent   but not too much). I haven't driven it enough to get any mileage numbers but I'm hoping to be in the double digits now. I had one issue that ended with it on the tow truck but it was my own wiring mistake. Reminder always double check the grounds! Just need to re-loom the wires and re-install the rear sway bar and I'm done!

The install was very simple, O2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, and 4 wires (power to battery, fuel pump, 12v ignition, and tach signal) and it is all set. No external ECU to mount so once all the wires are routed with the stock wires it is totally hidden. The initial setup for the ECU is very simple and only takes a couple minutes. Just enter the cubic inches of the motor, idle speed, cam specs (1 mild thru 4 wild), rev limit, and the tach signal. Then prime the system to get the air out and it started right up. Took seconds to get the idle at the right speed and started self tuning to get the air/fuel ratio right. I've only got about 40 miles on it as I have been keeping it close to home just to make sure everything is right before I take it any further but so far I am happy with the upgrade. The old carbs have been good to me but I'm already seeing improvements and the throttle response is better than it has ever been.

So far I would totally recommend FiTech to anyone. Every single time I called or emailed I got a response right away and they were extremely helpful. Some of my question were downright stupid    , yet they helped me through all the troubleshooting chasing down my wiring issue which was 100% on me.

My hardest job and biggest concern was the fuel system, I had to replace everything and make my own lines out of PTFE hose and 3/8 steel tubing for the sending line and the return, so I was worried about leaks. The new lines are all ran in the stock locations with the addition of a fuel filter on the rear frame rail. The big issue I fought here was with the hotchkis subframe connectors, which do not allow you to run long tubing through the torsion bar support. So the steel lines only about 3 inches past the crossmember and connect to an fittings to the throttle body. I lucked out and did not have a single leak in the fuel system.  :icon_smile_big:

The Tanks Inc setup was great. Tank fit right in and looks just like a stock tank other than being powder coated. The fuel pump is nice and quiet, only time I hear it is right before the car starts and after that I have not noticed it at all even outside of the car. Tanks inc does recommend cutting an access hole in the trunk floor to make checking the pump easier but I did not go this route. So if something goes wrong I'm dropping the tank but I'm hoping I have years of trouble free service out of the pump. But it would be smart to add the access hole as there is no room even to tighten the fittings once the tank is in place. Only downside is the sending unit is a bit off but I think its my gauge. Maybe I'm just not meant to have an accurate gas gauge

Here are a couple shots of the tank installed.

Self tuning, easy installation, and improved performance/drive-ability?  I might have to hold off on that Pro-Form 'carb...

  I'm sure we are all guilty of putting a few purchases on the ol credit card when we shouldn't have. Not the smartest way to do it but it happens.

You really make me wish I didn't already have a brand new Quick Fuel carb sitting in the box.   That EFI looks like an awesome setup.   :2thumbs:
