I love how you added the switchbacks in the parking lights. That is pretty common for people to do on newer cars, I never thought about it for the charger but it is now on my list.  ;D

Love that chin spoiler, perfect timing , you have answered for me as to what I have to run as far as draw goes on the LEDs , led signal cams to both indicators and hazard flashers , thanks for the info, just put switchbacks in mine, if you want the light to reflect better, the cast bit of housing will need to be chromed plated, it ill make a huge difference, now do your tail lights  chrome the cast bit of housing, for light reflection, install led globes  you already have the led flashers installed,
What is that chin spoiler off , looks great  if you made it details please , going to fab one up and powder coat it black , or maybe go with brushed aluminium look

Dino

The spoiler is off a 69 Camaro and bolts right on.  It comes in black molded plastic, as I have it on mine.

Thanks! HIDs are sweet. I had a set in mine but they crapped out and I needed a quick fix so I went with H4 bulbs with relays. I've been wanting to switch back, just need to find a good quality kit.

Yep, 69 camaro spoiler. There are companies that make them out of aluminum but they are in the $300 range. The plastic ones are cheap so if it breaks its no big deal.

I did add LED taillights a while back and used some of that reflective chrome paint. It didn't make too much of a difference though, the lights I used are a light board with 300 small LEDs that pushed up against the lens so it doesn't really use the housing to reflect any light.

Here are a couple of pics from the other week.

Looks like he has his bolted to the back edge of the front valance.

Dino

Correct!

The spoiler comes predrilled on the top lip so if you add a few holes, it lines up wit the back of the valence real nice.  I used big washers to make mine nice and snug and had no issues.  When you get the spoiler you need to get the long bracket as well.  Here's a few pics:

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,69474.125.html

One end of the rod is bent so I stuck it in a vise and bent it back.  It now fit between the stock mounting point in the center of the spoiler and on a stock bolt on the K member.  It could not fit any better.  I think I pad $40 shipped for the spoiler and brackets.  And no mods to the car at all.  Can't go wrong.

Dino fantastic job , the tail lights look great , that car is just about perfect, has any one posted a thread on the install of the hydro boost , was it a big job, if you took photos maybe you should post the install and let all know the benefits, big cam , engine no vacuum = no power assist for brakes

Only the one linked in my post is mine, that shiny Charger is W&R's.  Mine has..shall we say driver patina?   :icon_smile_big:

I mounted my spoiler a bit different, I did the same big washer trick in the middle but used the curved brackets that come with the kit and mounted them to the radiator support. I also drilled a hole at each end and bolted it directly to the valance, just so there would be no flexing at the ends. So mine has a total of 6 spots bolted to the valance. It's a bit overkill but after I ripped of my old coming out of the driveway too fast I figured it needed a little extra support. I also have a set of aluminum support braces that I am debating. Might give it a race car look but might be overdoing it?   :shruggy:

I didn't take any photos of the install but the hydroboost setup is pretty straight forward. I got my setup from Reilly Motorsports and it comes with everything needed. Just install the backing plate, hook up the master cylinder, and plumb the lines. One line to the steering box, one to the pump, and one to the return line. The kit came with decent instructions and made a HUGE difference for my car.

Im pretty sure that my chin spoiler on the 68 is mounted very close to the same as yours by the sounds of it. Solid as a rock.

Thanks for the information & the link... I wonder if that 69 Camaro Front Chin Spoiler, would work out as well on my 68 RR ?? but for $40 it's probably worth a try, I've seen ones specifically made for 68-69 RR's but like $300, I didn't save the link, but I was going to make/fab up my own, but if $40 will do it, I might like to go that route too...

I have about 5 bolts and washers total on the spoiler but I only used the long bar for the center.  Several weeks ago I turned into a parking spot a bit fast and did not notice the high curb so I rammed the spoiler right into it.  I guess my fastening works because the only damage is a small crack in the bottom lip of the spoiler, where the bolt is.  It's an easy fix and nobody will be able to tell but even if it was shattered, for $35 I wouldn't be crying too much.

If you do have gaps, you can actually manipulate the top lip of the spoiler by heating it up.  Or simply use a black seal in between spoiler and valance to get a tight fit.  I think it'll work just fine.  Besides, it's black molded plastic, you can cut it, re-glue it and paint it to your liking.

Been doing a lot lately and thought I'd post up some pics.

Added a US Car Tool radiator brace to strengthen the front end. I never realized how weak this area was til I started drilling out the spot welds. Can't wait to finish up some other things and see how much of a benefit this upgrade was.
