I just wish I could leave stuff alone but I can never stop messing with it out in the garage. My wallet would be better off if I left it as is.

Thanks!

The dynomax mufflers have been great, still sounds nice but not crazy loud. I used to have glass packs and while it sounded mean, the drone and noise during long drives were miserable.

I've actually been thinking about adding cutouts.  :scratchchin:

Everyone comments on my exhaust about how nice it sounds but not overly loud. I have the TTI setup with H pipe & Dynomax but like the Flowmaster tone but the drone would get to me in no time so I'm staying with what I have. Great looking as usual Clayton!

Horrible, there's just nothing there to like.  I had to go look at pictures of Pintos to feel better.

Alright alright, in all seriousnessnessness one of the nicest 69's ever to have graced the planet.  Your work is stellar as always.   :2thumbs:

Beautiful car and I definitely agree with a previous poster.. That car has an awesome stance. Are you running stock suspension or something else?

That's where I'm at with it right now. It could look nice with em but it might make it look cluttered.

Are you telling me that if I switch to the efi(which I do ) , I'm going to have clearance issues?  Please give details. It looks like a direct replacement for the carb. What intake, brand efi, etc.  are u using?

Huh?  :shruggy:  At this time I'm not running efi (I plan to sometime soon) but with the efi units like FAST, MSD Atomic EFI, or e street efi they will be a direct replacement for the carb so there shouldn't be any clearance issues depending on your intake and air cleaner setup. I do know that some of the efi units have clearance issues with a drop base air cleaner hitting the fuel rails but that depends on which product you use.

Last month I decided it was time to ditch the original radio and swap out the carpet. I've always liked the look of the original radio but mine hasn't worked in years so it was time to junk it.

The prices of the factory appearance with modern internal radios wasn't worth it to me so I swapped in the aftermarket head unit I've been running in the glove box. Also added in a usb port in the ash tray and one in the console so I could plug in my phone or ipod.

So far I'm digging it. It is way nicer now that I don't have to open the glove box to change the station! I know a lot of people don't like the look of a modern radio in the dash but I think it blends in nicely. And it's nice to have the glove box space back.

Now the best part, back at the end of February I thought I'd put all the upgrades to the test so I signed up for the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge at Thunderhill Raceway. And it was AWESOME!!! I've been nervous about trying one of these events but it turned out great. There are tons of high end builds (Some of the cars there were REALLY nice!) that show up but everyone was super cool and it was flat out a great event to attend for a first timer. My only regret was I only signed up for one day, I really wish I could have stayed for the whole event.

And the car performed well. I drove it there and back (500+ miles through a thunder and hail storm), wheeled it the entire day doing the autocross and speed stop challenge, and the car never once missed a beat. My biggest issue (aside from 8 mpg) was transmission fluid pushing out of the dipstick and right onto the headers.

Now I've got a ton of ideas in my head to improve the car and do better next time. Those updates will follow over the next few months.
