I got some new rims and tires for the Charger over the winter and was finally able to get them mounted. These are just the Jegs Sports Star rims. 15x7 on the front with 245/15/60's on 15x7's w/4" BS in the front and 275/15/60's on 15x8 w/4.5 BS in the rear. The first pic is the old 14" Keystones.

They look great! But being an old wheel whore I still like the Keystones best :icon_smile_cool: Are you going to keep them around?

This is'nt leading up to a "Keith Stone"beer commercial is it???????

BTW,I like the new wheels better, never was a fan of Keystones. The first time I saw them was in high school from accross the parking lot,I thought they were hubcaps!!!!!

I like them both too. Keystones give the vintage look, the sport stars give a drag strip race car look.

Hi

The wheels on the first pic suit the car alot better. Its got the right amount of black/chrome to contrast with the rest of the car thats got black roof and black stripe. The silver star ones look too silver and plain to work with the rest of the design on car.

I love the first ones therefor. Sell the 2nd ones off and put the money to better use.

Thanks for the replies. I was kinda worried, but I think they look pretty good. There are a few reasons that led up to me switching.

The KS were about $40 a rim more.

Plus, the KS I could only find in 3 7/8 inch BS in the 15x8's. I thought 4.5 BS would be better. I think the 275's would be under the lip of the opening or sticking outside which I would not like.

I also kinda wanted a different look.

I still have the 14" rims I took off the car and a set of 15x7 Keystones that were on the car since 1989, so if I want to go back, I can.

Looks awesome Dean !  :2thumbs:

Huge improvement over those tiny baby tires  :yesnod:

Big fan of an aluminum 5 spoke lightweight rim with some rubber to fill those wheelwells  :icon_smile_cool:

Yep, I like the rims, but I am hoping Jegs makes good. I ordered these last January and when I took them to get mounted a couple weeks ago, the garage could not balance one of the tires. I returned it for an exchange. I had to pay the shipping charges back per their return policy. Cost about $35.00. They sent a new one back pronto and it balanced up fine. When I went to put them on the car though, I found that only one box had a polished center cap as advertised to go with the polished rims. The other three had a brushed center cap. ::)

I sent an email to them stating what i already went through with the tire and now this. I told them I would like the three polished caps that should have come with the rims. I am hoping to get them without the hassle of sending the brushed ones back.

I totally agree with Brian :2thumbs:  Stock 15" would be my first choice for such a beautifully restored car, but if its a highly modified car then this wheel choice works fine. :Twocents:

Car is not stock. I have a 496 stroker in it and a flat black hood. Jegs called and said they were going to ship me the missing caps. I am hopeful anyway that this is what really happens. I will update you with the end result.
