Recently I went through a flooded intersection about 4mph with about 4 inches of water and somehow water got into the engine.  Sounded like nuts and bolts rattleing around in engine and underneath.  I later had car towed and seen what looks like a rod busted through the engine block.  Trying to claim this under insurance, has anyone else had this problem before.  I had a 2006 dodge charger R/T 5.7L with under 28,000 miles and had all routine oil changes.  Car was babied.  Please help, Thanks.

Man that SUCKS, sorry to hear this  :eek2:, sounds like classic hydrolock!  Your insurance company may cover this if you have a decent carrier!

Best of luck!

Did you have some kind of aftermarket air intake system?    Or is the car lowered?

Doesn't really seem like 4" could do that on an unmodified car.
