I didn't ask for confirmation, however Katie just sent me an e-mail back letting me know she got my form and picture and is looking forward to seeing my car!

Mopurr

Her reply yesterday was they are looking forward to these fantastic cars displaying at their facility.

RECHRGD

Yea, I just got the same reply from her, she does sound nice.  Considering the amount of people coming, has the subject of renting one of the suites they have there been brought up?  I know they are spendy, but if enough people were interested it might be affordable.  Just a thought.... If something was available close to the our cars, air conditioned luxury is something that certainly would be appreciated by the wives.   Bob

Since we are on pavement, I will ask if there is some kind of area that they can accomodate us to get out of the sun.

Doug, I sent in an email with 3 pictures attached 2 days ago but have not heard anything back from the track. Not sure if they are communicating with you once they receive registrations from people, but I did send one in through email. If I need to I could just drop one by the track as it is on my way to work each day.

RECHRGD

Another question for Doug...  I assume our race day tickets are general admission seating.  If we wanted to upgrade can we do it at the track or should it be done before?  Thanks, Bob

Yes, Katie has been emailing people back.   Maybe just shoot her a separate email without attachments asking if she got yours.

I shot another email over there today and heard right back from them. Starting to get really excited about this show. Not quite as much as I was for Talladega, but is close.

Mopurr

Anyone that did not turn in to Doug, the guest names coming to Indy with them, Please message them to me, otherwise they will just have to have a hand written name tag instead of a printed one.

Danny are you going to be at the track on Friday morning?

Mopurr

If there is going to be a window decal, y'all better be speaking up in response to my Indy decal message

:shruggy:

Aero426

Just a reminder from the Speedway, they have received credential requests for as many as 8 and 12 tickets.    There are two other groups coming (vintage racers and Goodguys cars) so the problem is not necessarily us.    But lets make sure we are asking for tickets that we need up to a max of four per car.

RV parking is all outside the facility on the south end.    Trailers can stay with the RV on that end.   I cannot guarantee how fast you will get out on Sunday.   If this will not work, I would suggest you camp at the Sam's Club lot and drive the cars back and forth to the hotel.

The track has also received a request for a golf cart, and I am sure that a request for garage passes is not far behind.   Those are notgonnahappen.com       This is a mutually beneficial event between IMS and us, and I just want to be sure we are moving in the right direction.   :yesnod:

Mopurr

what a privilege, we are having by the track inviting us to be there.

we don't want to mess this up by asking for to much etc. and I think everyone here realizes that.....must be those other brands......lol

Because hopefully, they will want us to return someday again.

a lot of questions of what is allowed can be answered by going to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway website that will tell what is allowed on the grounds

y'all also might want to double check with friends that if they are planning to come with cars and did not Contact Doug to let him know or getting the form registered at Indy they need it done NOW!!!!

Gee, thanks Troy - but I can handle it.

I wish I could commit to doing this event, and in future years I hope to make way more of these types of things.  This particular year, it is just too close to Carlisle (and all the time I had to spend lately getting the car wrapped up) to justify taking several more days off from work.  I'm just as bummed about missing Doug's event in Cleveland - as well as the event Stu & Larry put on last year in Branson... all were events that I would have loved to have attended even without my car.

One of these years!

Oh, and Allen, c'mon down anytime (might want to wait a week or so though for me to get everything unloaded &  organized).  Don't forget about the wall art I have in the garage for you.  Leave it there much longer and I'll have it permanently mounted on the Hemi House's wall   :D

Aero426

For board members wanting to attend the show at the Brickyard, but are not bringing a car,  IMS has general admission tickets for $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday.    This gets you into the infield car show, and also any available grandstand seat to watch practice and qualifying.   I believe you will be able to purchase a walk up ticket, or buy them in advance online.

I have not forgotten.  I hope you get it mounted, knowing you before it goes on the wall it will be straight and painted correctly for me.  I hope those didn't leave the factory with over spray :smilielol:

Yes I am planning on being there on Friday morning. I have taken Friday off of work so that I can go up there. My boy has a baseball tournament that night though starting at 6 so might have to scoot before all is said and done on the day.
