might have a peeping tom- that has nothing better to do than wake up the household at 3 am  every night. this has been going on for 3 weeks or better. taps on the window of the neighbors house[on their little 14 yr old boy's room no less] and makes some noise on our house too. I'm to the point as far as staking out my own house to see if its a person or something else. this has to stop. just found out today the neighbors have had some problem too.
how do you get rid of a peeping tom and not go to jail yourself?  dig a hole and wait until he's in it then fill the dirt back in?  input requested.  cops have not been called yet but real close. my woman is extremely not hard to look at and i don't want to share.  this guy probably drives a foreign car........

Local guy had the same problem. He put of some of those wildlife motion cameras in the trees near the house and got several nice pics.
Turned out the the 'Tom' was an older guy that worked in the education system..........but not after that!

had a cop come over last nite. told him the story. he said he would put us on the building watch list. doesn't sound like much, but at least its something. if sh#t goes down, at least they will be a little informed on whats going on.

i do have a Thompson 20,s style machine gun in the house[semi auto-legal] maybe i should pick up some more bullets. blanks would be fun. wife thought about parking the RV in front of the house and have a stake out in comfort.  love the camera idea.     same thing happened at 230 am last nite.

put one of theses in the mulch....seriously i would get a video camera and put it in the window so you can see his face and call your PD...I wouldn't mess around with that situation....I do like the idea of blanks guaranteed not to come back and would probably leave you a DNA sample in the yard!!

VID SURVEIL CAMS ARE CHEAP, SO ARE THE MULTI CAM DVR RECORDS. VIDEO DOESN'T LIE AND PROTECTS YOU FROM "HE SAID, YOU SAID". THE "KIDS" WINDOW CRAP REALLY MAKES ME ANGRY. THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE ARE WHAT MY CHP NEIGHBOR CALLS 'THROW AWAY PEOPLE". NO ONE WANTS TO SHOOT SOMEONE BUT WHAT DO YOU DO? MAYBE HITMAN OR OTHER LAW ENFOURCEMENT MEMBERS HERE WILL CHIME IN WITH REAL WORLD OPTIONS.

if you have a video camera, I would put right in the window he looks in, leave it on (put tape over the lights and put up a security light near the window so when he pays a visit his face is looking right in the window!!  Got ya!

Yep Dan you got the right idea, it may be just some critters,It may not be... We had a damn wood pecker doing it, it was driving me crazy trying to figure out what/who was doing it ... I threw a couple of rocks at it/them & they haven't come back yet...

Last year someone broke into our house ... we came home to find a mess and our 74 inch TV on the floor fortunately he opened my bedroom door ...i love having an aggressive great Dane as my best Friend/dog lol we found the guy ... he locked himself in the bathroom thanks to it not having windows we got him arrested
